By joining Fortis Lux Financial, Rodney embarks on continuing to build on over two decades in financial services and a decade in corporate law.
During tenures at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Lehman Brothers Rodney excelled at capturing top tier market share at some of the nation’s largest asset managers. His career has been built by carefully listening to the investment strategies used by some of the country’s foremost portfolio managers and then delivering financial instruments that helped enable them to accomplish their goals.
Rodney enjoys working with professionals in the institutional segment of the financial service industry as he is acutely aware that the pressure of daily results often leaves them with little time to focus on their personal long-term financial health. As a member of several teams at Fortis Lux Financial he looks forward to connecting his diverse client base with the financial advisors which will best serve their stage in life and financial goals.
Rodney has a special affinity for the Millennial Strategies Team due to his accomplishments during those formative years. After his second year of law school he traveled from Houston, Texas to Bolivia by buses and trains (yes, his parents went nuts). At the age of 38 he left the secure practice of law and became an institutional equity research salesperson. Thus, he is especially sensitive to the challenges and opportunities millennial clients confront and the advantages to be gained from sage advice.
Rodney holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin & Marshall College. Rodney resides in Hartsdale, N.Y. with his wife Catherine, his daughter and three dogs. He has at son at Wesleyan University and a son in Reston, Va, who works at Oracle Corporation.
